The soul’s escape

In a world so loud; T walk alone
A shadow in crowds; barely known Laughter echoes, but it’s not mine Just borrowed joy; a scripted line.
Once brilliant a spark in the night Now losing pieces; dimming light.
Expectations weigh like chain unseen
A prisoner to dream that might have been
So let me run where silence sings
Where mountains rise and freedom clings
The stars will listen; they always do I’ll tell them secrets of moon
I’m sharing with my friends - breeze and the stars so high
About my crush – the moon in the sky How it derives me crazy when he glows A beauty the universe only knows
And breeze and stars they tease and play “Ahmahm, a crush on moon? They speak
The breeze joins in, giggling light Tickling me softly, whispering delight
Tickling me softly, whispering delight
Yet even the wind a gentle embrace Heals my wounds, leaves no trace It sings to me melodies deep
A lullaby of peace, a promise to keep
Let me escape, let me be
A whisper among the stars, finally free For in their glow, I’ll find my part
And stitch together this broken heart
